Hello. I am thinking of getting a bird (right now I have many Rodents), I have been looking at various types on the internet and am torn between the Quaker Parakeet and the Celestial Parrotlet. Could anyone hit me with some pros and cons of each to help me decide? thanks. - Grantland

we thot he was a goner but the quaker came back... Sedric, our 15 year old rescue...escaped from his cage sunday....i watched helplessly as this green bird became a very small dot on the horizon...only to disappear completely... i didnt think i'd ever see him again thats why, 4 hours later, i went..

I am having trouble getting my new Quaker to eat his fresh vegetables. I have offered him carrots, broccolli, cauliflower, green peas, cucumber, & celery. i have a quaker...about 10 years old a rescue i've had him for about a year and a half how difficult would it be to introduce a second quaker into his cage???? they have a quaker parrot at the pet store up the road...he's been there for six weeks and no one's bought him i feel really bad for him (..

Some of you may remember my post a while back asking if it was ok to have Quakers and Budgies together. Numerous responses stated that I could quite possibly end up w/Budgies getting their toes bitten off. Well, I have taken every precaution to prevent that and have had no problems thus far. Ironi..
